It’s 20 y’all! Britney’s TWENTIETH show started 8 p.m. at the General Motors Place in Vancouver, Canada.
After just 4 songs in, Britney actually had a brief stop for the show because “it was too smokey in the arena.”
“The concert came to a complete standstill, lights off, for over 20 minutes – when a voice came over the speaker system an announced that the show would not continue if people kept smoking marijuana (and cigarettes) around the perimeter of stage. The announcer claimed it was ‘unsafe’ for Britney and the performers to continue with the concert,” reports Perez Hilton.
But Britney took the stage again after 30 minutes.
An official statement from Brit’s camp was released about this:
“We want to apologize to all the fans who attended our Vancouver show tonight for the brief pause in Britney’s set. Crew members above the stage became ill due to a ventilation issue.
“We were concerned for the lighting guys and everyone else working on the show. If one of those guys up above got dizzy or sick from all that marijuana smoke… it wouldn’t have been pretty.”
Sources say it was a “safety issue.”
After performing “Womanizer,” Britney ran off the stage and said: “Thanks Vancouver. You were wonderful. Drive safe. Don’t smoke weed!”
And you can see her pissed off at the end of “Radar”:
