Even though La Perla is most famous for its decadent lingerie with a price tag hovering around $200 for some undergarments, the spotlight at a recent shopping party was on the Italian label’s red-carpet party dresses.

In an airy courtyard adjoining the La Perla shop on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills, fashion tastemakers, editors and stylists on April 1 viewed La Perla ensembles worn in the past by celebrities such as Molly Sims, Kristen Stewart, Taylor Swift, Gabrielle Union and Britney Spears.

The starlet-worn dresses on display will be put up for auction online through Clothes Off Our Back, a charity founded by actress Jane Kaczmarek and her husband, Bradley Whitford.

The hosts of the event—actress Perrey Reeves (who often wears La Perla lingerie while playing “Mrs. Ari” on HBO’s “Entourage”) and actress Kristen Bell—played live models during the evening, wearing dresses currently sold at the store.

Also on the store racks next to La Perla’s ready-to-wear bustiers and sexy pencil skirts was a duplicate of the black one-shoulder bubble dress worn by Stewart at the London premiere of “Twilight.” It was selling for $1,440.

A 25 percent discount was given on any item purchased during the evening, with 10 percent of all proceeds donated to Clothes Off Our Back.
